Physiotherapy
The kind of physio that actually gets to the root of it.
Physiotherapy in Burlington, Ontario
Whether it's a disc issue, a post-surgical knee, or pain that's been hanging around for months, our Burlington physiotherapy team digs into the cause, builds a real plan, and progresses it until you're back to full function.
What we treat
Not just backs and knees.
Our Burlington physiotherapists treat the full scope of musculoskeletal conditions — from acute injuries to chronic conditions to post-operative rehab. If it involves pain, movement, or recovery, it's in our wheelhouse.
Disc herniations, sciatica, stenosis, facet irritation, chronic stiffness — we assess the mechanics and treat the driver, not just where it hurts.
ACL reconstruction, rotator cuff repair, hip and knee replacements, spinal surgery — structured rehab with clear milestones and timelines.
Frozen shoulder, rotator cuff tears, impingement, tennis elbow, wrist and hand injuries — hands-on treatment paired with targeted strengthening.
Osteoarthritis, meniscus tears, ligament sprains, plantar fasciitis, Achilles issues — from acute injury to long-term management.
When pain persists beyond normal healing, the approach needs to change. We combine manual therapy, graded exercise, and education to break the cycle.
Whiplash, soft tissue injuries, and complex multi-area pain after a car accident. We handle the treatment and the insurance paperwork.
Our approach
Treatment that progresses, not just repeats.
Too many people get stuck in a loop of heat packs and generic exercises. We build a plan with a clear arc — from assessment to discharge.
We spend the time to understand your injury history, movement patterns, and goals before we touch anything. No cookie-cutter evaluations.
Manual therapy, joint mobilization, soft tissue work, dry needling — targeted to your specific findings, not a standard protocol.
Exercises that evolve as you improve. We adjust load, complexity, and volume based on how you're actually responding.
You'll know what 'done' looks like from the start. We track measurable outcomes and get you there as efficiently as possible.

Frequently asked questions
Common questions about physiotherapy
How much does physiotherapy cost in Burlington?+
At OMNI Health & Rehab, your initial assessment is $125 for a 60-minute session, and follow-up visits are $75 for 30 minutes. Most extended health plans cover physiotherapy, and we direct bill major Canadian insurers so you usually don't pay out of pocket. Give us a call at (905) 635-5711 and we can check your coverage before you book.
Do I need a doctor's referral for physio?+
No referral needed to book with us. In Ontario, physiotherapists are primary care providers, so you can walk in or call us directly. That said, some insurance plans still ask for a doctor's note for reimbursement, so it's worth checking your benefits booklet first. If you're unsure, our front desk in Burlington is happy to help you sort it out.
Does insurance cover physiotherapy in Ontario?+
Most extended health benefit plans cover physiotherapy, and we direct bill all major Canadian insurers including Manulife, Sun Life, Canada Life, Green Shield, and more. We also handle WSIB and motor vehicle accident (MVA) claims directly. Coverage amounts vary by plan, so bring your insurance details to your first visit and we'll verify everything for you.
What should I expect at my first physiotherapy appointment?+
Your first visit with Stephanie or Juhi runs about 60 minutes. They'll go through your history, ask about your symptoms, and do a hands-on assessment to figure out what's going on. You'll usually start treatment that same day and leave with a clear plan and home exercises. Wear something comfortable you can move in, and arrive a few minutes early to fill out paperwork.
How many physio sessions will I need?+
It really depends on what we're treating. A minor strain might resolve in 3 to 6 sessions, while post-surgical rehab or chronic pain often takes 8 to 12 visits or more. After your initial assessment at our Burlington clinic, your physiotherapist will give you a realistic estimate and adjust as you progress. The goal is always to get you back to feeling like yourself, not to keep you coming forever.
What conditions do physiotherapists treat?+
Quite a lot, actually. At OMNI we regularly help people with back and neck pain, post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, chronic pain conditions, and motor vehicle accident injuries. We also work with shoulder, knee, and hip problems, headaches, and general mobility issues. If you're not sure whether physio can help your specific situation, call us at (905) 635-5711 and we'll let you know honestly.
